ReUseWaste final project meeting: Reflections and lessons learned
The final annual ReUseWaste meeting, held in Erfurt in May was concluded with an internal selfevaluation session of strengths and weaknesses of the project. The aim of the exercise was to ensure that we all learn from the experiences gained during the course of a project of this nature and scope, and that lessons learned can be disseminated to other Marie Curie ITN projects. George Bekiaris, based at UCPH, has prepared a research brief about his work on the effect of pyrolysis temperature on P speciation of biochars produced from the solid fraction of manure digestate. Read the research brief

European Report on circular approaches to P recycling
A workshop, "Circular approaches to phosphorus: from research to deployment" was held in Berlin on 4 March 2015. It brought together 28 nutrient recycling research and demonstration projects funded by the EU as well as nationally funded projects and industry initiatives. A comprehensive workshop-report has been published.

Eco-Bio 2016: Challenges in Building a Sustainable Biobased Economy will take place 6-9 March 2016 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This new conference will highlight the latest research and innovation towards developing industrially viable, safe and ecologically friendly biobased (renewable biological sources) solutions to build a sustainable society.
Livestock Waste Conference 2016 conference in Galway Ireland. The topics covered in LivestockFarming2016 conference will include (but will not be limited to): 1. Policies and regulations on animal waste management; 2. Technologies for animal waste prevention; 3. Pollution control technologies; 4. Resource recovery technologies and practice; 5. Greenhouse gas emission mitigation for livestock farming. Deadline for Abstract submission is 11 March 2016.
ManuREsource conference 2015: Deadline extension. The second edition of the ManuREsource conference, International conference on manure management and valorization, takes place on the 3th and 4th of December 2015 in Ghent, Belgium. The deadline for the abstract submission has been extended to September 21.
